Our security features include:

Security Paper

  • Sensitised stock
    • Specialised paper stock highlights via flash up or discolouration if any attempts at alteration are made to the item.
  • Invisible and visible fluorescent fibres
    • Invisible/visible fluorescent fibres are built into the paper and may only appear under special lighting, ensuring the item cannot be replicated by copying the document.
  • Mill based watermarks
    • Watermarks provide detailed images in the base stock which allow greater visual protection.

Document Design

  • Background design
    • The use of intricate fine-line patterns and difficult to reproduce colours within the cheque background. Overall pattern or individual designs are difficult to scan and reproduce.
  • Micro printing
    • Micro-sized type set characters can be included into your design, ensuring that the characters can be recognised clearly when viewed securely. These micro characters are designed to 'fill-in' when scanned or copied.
  • Security Icons
    • A descriptive is printed within the document, alerting users to the security features which allow for ease of verification. This feature is valuable to general businesses who accept cheques.
 

Printing Inks

  • Fluorescent inks
    • The use of fluorescence and suitable inks allow protection by illuminating under correct light and cannot be replicated through copying.
  • Fugitive inks
    • Fugitive inks dissolve, smudge or change colour when an attempt to alter the item is made. These are traditionally chemical re-active, solvent sensitive with a secondary security feature in the form of fluorescent ink.
  • Thermochromic inks
    • Thermochromic ink reacts to temperature by either changing or disappearing when activated.
  • Transparentising
    • Transparentising is a clear vehicle, which can be plain on invisible fluorescent.

Production Processes

  • SLF Fraud Protection System
    • The total cheque fraud detection system is offered to the banking community and includes improved toner adhesion and full scanning to detect any alterations and deletions on a cheque after the cheque has been written.
